These plant based burgers use cooked wholewheat pasta, black beans and mixed nuts blended with spices, aminos and then shaped into burgers and cooked.

Cook the 200gm of wholewheat pasta and let cool.

Put 100gm of mixed nuts into the food processor and turn into a fine crumb.

Add a tin of rinsed, drained black beans and the cooled pasta along with the spices and the amino’s (if you can’t find amino’s use Soy sauce) into the food processor with the nuts and process into a sticky dough. You may need to stop and scrape down the side to finish this.

Take the sticky dough and make 6 burger shapes. Put into the fridge to cool

When ready, heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers until golden brown on both sides.

Serve in a bun with sweet potatoes fries. ?

  • 2 tbsp aminos
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 white onions
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Method

  • Cook the wholewheat pasta and let cool.
  • Put 150gm of mixed nuts into the food processor and turn into a fine crumb.
  • Add a tin of rinsed, drained black beans and the cooled pasta along with the spices and the amino's (if you can't find amino's use Soy sauce) into the food processor with the nuts and process into a sticky dough. You may need to stop and scrape down the side to finish this.
  • Take the sticky dough and make 6 burger shapes. Put into the fridge to cool
