Quick-cooking pak choi is a great side for an Asian meal, Cooked with garlic, ginger and dressed with toasted sesame oil for a light but flavourful plate of greens. Takes only a few minutes and can be done just before serving the rest of the meal
Serve it alongside crispy hoisin tempeh and steamed rice.
Wash the pak choi and slice them in half from top to bottom keeping the root intack to keep the leaves together on each half.
Finely dice the garlic and ginger, add to a pan with a little oil and gently fry for 1 minute.
Turn the heat up on the pan Add the pak choi cut side down onto the pan drizzle with soy sauce and then cover for 3 mins.
Remove the cover and turn the pak choi and cook for another minute.
Drizzle with a little toasted sesame sed oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve immediately.

Ingredients
- 2 Pak choi
- 10 g garlic – one clove
- 10 g ginger – size of a clove
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp toasted sesame seed oil
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
Method
